Licence Agreement

Last updated 17 September 2026

This agreement is between you and learnextech, the maker of MyMouse. By installing MyMouse, starting its free trial, or activating a licence key, you agree to it. If you don't agree, don't use MyMouse, and delete it from your Mac.

Your licence

MyMouse is licensed to you, not sold. learnextech keeps all rights in the app, its name and its design.

  • Free trial: you may use every feature for 14 days, to decide whether MyMouse works well for you.
  • Paid licence: a licence key lets you use MyMouse on 1 Mac at a time, for as long as you like. It doesn't expire and there is no subscription.
  • You may use MyMouse at home or at work.

Moving to another Mac

To use your licence on a different Mac, first deactivate it on the old Mac in MyMouse Settings › License, then activate it on the new one. To prevent sharing, a licence can only be moved a few times in 30 days. If you reach that limit, contact us and we'll help.

What you may not do

Unless the law allows it despite this agreement, you may not:

  • share, sell, rent or give away your licence key, or post it publicly;
  • use one licence on more Macs than it allows;
  • copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer MyMouse, or make or use a version with its licence checks removed or changed;
  • use tools, fake servers or altered files to get around the trial or the licence checks;
  • remove copyright or licence notices from the app.

Licence checks and your information

MyMouse contacts our licence server to start your trial and to confirm your licence, and keeps working offline between checks. Our Privacy page describes exactly what it sends. Privacy

Updates and support

Updates are free, and MyMouse installs them from inside the app. If something isn't working, contact us and we'll help. We aren't obliged to release updates or offer support for any fixed period.

Payment and refunds

Every copy of MyMouse starts with a free trial that includes every feature, so you can make sure it works well with your Mac and Magic Mouse before you buy. For that reason, all purchases are final and we don't offer refunds once your licence key has been issued. If you were charged twice by mistake, or paid but didn't receive your key, contact us and we'll put it right. And if anything isn't working after you buy, get in touch — we'll help you get MyMouse working.

Ending this agreement

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting MyMouse. It ends automatically if you break it. We may then deactivate the licence key involved, and we may also deactivate a key that was shared publicly, paid for with a payment that was reversed or fraudulent, or issued by mistake. Parts of this agreement that are meant to last, such as the limit on our liability, continue after it ends.

No warranty

MyMouse is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't promise that it is free of errors or that it works with every Mac, macOS version or mouse. MyMouse relies on parts of macOS that Apple may change, so a macOS update can affect it until we release a fix. Nothing in this agreement takes away rights you have by law that can't be excluded.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, learnextech is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost data, lost profits or interruption to your work, caused by using or being unable to use MyMouse. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

Trademarks

Apple, Mac, macOS and Magic Mouse are trademarks of Apple Inc. MyMouse is an independent app, and is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Apple.

Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement, for example when MyMouse gains new features. The version on this page applies from the date at the top. If you keep using MyMouse after a change, the updated version applies.

Law and language

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. It is published in English and Burmese. Both versions are meant to say the same thing; if they ever differ, the English version applies.

Open-source software

MyMouse includes open-source software, including the Sparkle update framework. Their licences are included with the app, and are also available here: Open-source licences

Your download has started

While MyMouse downloads, here's how to install it. It takes about two minutes, and you only do it once — updates install themselves.

  1. Drag MyMouse to Applications

    Open MyMouse-latest.dmg from your Downloads folder, then drag the MyMouse icon onto the Applications folder.

  2. Allow MyMouse to open

    Open Terminal (press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, press Return), paste this command, and press Return:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/MyMouse.app

    What it does: macOS marks every app downloaded from the internet as "quarantined" and asks before its first launch. This command removes that mark from MyMouse only. It doesn't change any other app or security setting, needs no password, and downloads nothing.

    ⚠︎ Only paste Terminal commands from sources you trust, and know what they do first.

    Or, without Terminal:

    Open MyMouse from Applications and click Done when macOS says it can't verify the developer. Then open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to MyMouse.

  3. Open MyMouse and give it two permissions

    Open MyMouse from Applications. In the Permissions window, click Open System Settings next to Accessibility and turn MyMouse on, then do the same next to Input Monitoring. Click Restart MyMouse — tap to click works straight away.
